Dimitris Alexiou was born in Alepochori, Laconia in 1949. He lives and works in Athens since 1963. He studied film direction. His texts have been published in the newspapers: “Ta Nea”, “To Vima”, “Eleftherotypia”, as well as in the magazines: “The Tree”, “The Word”, “Periplous”, “Grafi”, “Odos Panos”, “Neo -level”, “Attempt”, “Cultural”, “Eli-wheel”, “Mandragoras”, “Hellevoros”, “Why”, “Embolimon”, “New Course” etc. He has translated the Lucian,Dialogues of the Dead. His poems have been included in anthologies in Greece and abroad. In April 1983 he was invited to the University of Illinois, USA where he spoke there on the topic: “Modern Greek Poetry”. He is a member of the Society of Writers.
