Bogdan – Alexandru Petcu (b. 1995, Bacău County) studied Philology at “Grigore Moisil” National College Onești and Philosophy at the Faculty of History and Philosophy, Babeș-Bolyai University of Cluj-Napoca.
He debuted in 2022 with the poetry volume transcender (Charmides Publishing House), a volume praised by both readers and critics. His poetry debut won the National Filstreet Award and the Romanian Writers’ Union Award (Bacău branch) in 2023. Consequently, transcender was shortlisted for the Bac-Fest, ARCCA and Romanian Writers’ Union (Iași branch) Awards. A selection of his poems has already been translated into German, while also being present in 3 anthologies of contemporary Romanian poetry, as well as in numerous Romanian poetry magazines.
