Η Αλεξάνδρα Μπακονίκα γεννήθηκε στη Θεσσαλονίκη, όπου και ζει. Φοίτησε στην Ιατρική Σχολή του Αριστοτέλειου Πανεπιστήμιου Θεσσαλονίκης, όμως δεν ολοκλήρωσε τις σπουδές της. Έχει εκδώσει 11 ποιητικές συλλογές. Ποιήματα και κριτικά της σημειώματα δημοσιεύθηκαν σε πολλά έγκριτα λογοτεχνικά περιοδικά. Το έργο της παρουσιάστηκε στο Ίδρυμα Ελληνικού Πολιτισμού στο Λονδίνο το 1996, και στην Φιλοσοφική Σχολή του Α.Π.Θ. το 2012 Έχει λάβει μέρος με πολλά διεθνή φεστιβάλ ποίησης στην Ελλάδα και στο εξωτερικό. Βιβλία της εκδόθηκαν στην Ινδία και στον Καναδά με τους τίτλους “ Lovers and lairs”, “Cloe and Alexandra” αντίστοιχα, με ανθολογημένα ποιήματά της στα Αγγλικά. Ποιήματά της επίσης μεταφράστηκαν σε Γερμανικά, Σουηδικά, Αλβανικά, Κροατικά.
Alexandra Bakonika was born in Thessaloniki, where she resides. She studied medicine at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, but she did not complete her
studies. She has published 11 selections of poetry. Poems and reviews of hers have been published in well-known literary periodicals. Her work was presented in London at the Hellenic Cultural Foundation in 1996 and at the Aristotle University in 2012. She has participated in many international festivals of poetry in Greece and abroad. Books with selected poems of hers translated in English, were published in India and Canada, with the titles “Lovers and lairs”, “Cloe and Alexandra”. Also her poems have been translated in German, Swedish, Croatian and Albanian.
