Thanos Gogos was born in Larissa in 1985. He is the founder of publishing house Thraka, and the main editor of Thraka Magazine, one of the partners of the international literary residencies project Ulysses Shelter, the co-founder and director of the Thessalian Poetry Festival (Πανθεσσαλικό Φεστιβάλ Ποίησης), and director of the Larissa’s house of literature Logotechniki Gonia.
He has published three poetry collections: Frontier Playground (Farfulas, 2013), Glasgow (Thraka, 2014), and Dakar (Melani, 2020). His poems have been published in various printed and online magazines, and have been translated into over fifteen languages. His book Glasgow was translated into Croatian and published by Sandorf in 2021, and a selection of his poems was published in Turkey (2022).
His poetry appeared in the New Voices of Greece anthology, published by the Hellenic Foundation of Culture, and presented in the 67th Frankfurt Book Fair. His poems were included in many anthologies and he presented his work in numerous festivals and book fairs in Greece and abroad. He is a board member at the Poets’ Circle and a member of the Greek PEN Centre.
