Antonia Botonaki

Antonia Botonaki was born in an isolated, mountainous village of Chania. The imposing natural environment, together with the intense religious element, de-termined her way of writing. She studied drama at the State Theater of Northern Greece.
In 2011, she published her novel «Let it die» Hibiscus publications. Her first poetry collection, «she who guides the shadows» came out in 2017 Iolkos publications, and won the “Jean Moreas” award in the poetry debut category. Her book «God’s end»1st edition, Gavrielides publications, 2018) was nominated for the State Poetry Prize in 2020.
Her third poetry collection is expected, entitled “her tongue was thrown to the cat”.
