Giselle Lucia Navarro is a Cuban poet, writer and visual artist, born in 1995. Graduated of Industrial Design from the University of Havana. She has won various awards, in genres of poetry, narrative, children´s literature and essays, among which stand out Pinos Nuevos, Edad de Oro, Calendario and David awarded by the Union of Writers and Artist of Cuba. She has published Contrapeso (Colección Sur, 2019), El circo de los asombros and ¿Qué nombre tiene tu casa? (both by Gente Nueva, 2019), Criogenia (Ensemble, Italy, bilingual, 2021), La Comarca Silvestre (Loynaz, 2021) and La Habana me pide una misa (Extramuros, 2022). Her work has been translated into Italian, Greek, English, French, Turkish, German and Serbian.
As a visual artist, she has participated in various solo exhibitions and received a mention from the POST-IT Award for Contemporary Cuban Art.
