Eleni Artemiou – Fotiadou

Eleni Artemiou-Fotiadou was born in Famagusta and lives in Larnaka. She is an Inspector of Primary Education, holds an MA in Educational Administration and Policy and is a PhD candidate in Political Philosophy. She deals with literature as well as radio and television scriptwriting. She has published 22 books: twelve collections of poetry, one collection of short stories and nine books for children. Her literary work has received many distinctions and has been awarded in pan-Hellenic and international competitions. Her poems and short stories have been included in anthologies and published on literary websites.
Her poems have been translated into English, Italian, Spanish, French. Her lyrics have been set to music by Cypriot composers. She has been honored with the Costa Monti prize for her poetry collection “Alex-inemos”. Her poetry collections “Katepeigon”, “Heimeria Zali”, “Rem” have been included in the short list for the Cyprus State Awards. Her poetry collection “Ι Afirimeni Techni tou Epsilon” has been shortlisted for the 2020 Jean Moreas Awards.
