Iván Oñate (Ambato, Ecuador 1948). His work has been translated into German, French, English, Portuguese, Greek, Polish and Italian. He is currently Director of the Anales Magazine of the Central University of Ecuador and Principal Professor of Semiotics and Hispano-American Literature. Distinguished Guest of the City of Salamanca (2019). Honored by the National Library of Peru (2016).
